How to Book Tickets

No Commission

Instead of paying a 25-30% commission to a ticket agency, you easily can book your tickets by phone or online. Here are several ways to do it.

First, check what's playing, booking periods, reviews, and recommendations at the London Theatre Guide. When you've made your selections, then:

Phone the Box Office

The theatre box offices are open from 10 AM to 7 or 8 PM Monday through Saturday. Be sure to allow for any time difference when you call. They will describe the location of the best available seats and hold tickets for you at the box office with a credit card authorization. If you like to sit close to the stage, be sure to ask if they have anything closer after they've told you what's available. Sometimes they assume (perhaps incorrectly) that you don't want to be seated in the first few rows.

In addition, the Stoll Moss Theatre Group has a central booking number for all 10 of their theatres (click here to view list). Check their site for current productions and book online or phone them at 44-20-7494-5399 to book. Productions not at Stoll Moss Theatres also can be booked here, but there is a commission of 10-15%, so be sure to ask beforehand.

Book Online

Using Ticketmaster UK, you can determine what's available for your production and date, view a chart to check seat locations, and then book your tickets online using your credit card. They will be held at the box office for pickup. The tickets they have available are what's available at the box office (called the general pool).

The price may be the box office price plus an additional 1-2 pound fee depending on the production.

Not all West End productions are represented here, so if you don't see the play or musical you want, phone the box office directly (box office phone numbers). If you don't see the date you want for a particular production, check the London Theatre Guide to see the booking period and phone the box office directly.

In addition to West End productions, Ticketmaster UK also represents many events through the UK.
